After his first election to Congress Ken Hechler was profiled by New York writer Howard Cohn in an article titled “How to get elected to Congress,” which was published in Pageant Magazine. After the article was published several prominent U.S. Senators wrote letters. The letters and the Pageant article were subsequently published in the Congressional Record.
